Enrolments rose to 754 in 2004 with 66% of all new families to the school continuing to be attracted from out of neighbourhood areas. New programs introduced into the school included the Kids Microphone Action program – a pilot program focusing on capturing the audio capabilities of computers to enhance student learning. In addition, a leading Australian children’s poetry writer, Jo Hinchliffe was employed part time to introduce the ‘Poetry in the Classroom’ program across the school.
At Berwick Lodge Primary School, above all else, we value our children. We recognise that our future lies with them and so encourage our students to embrace "Learning For Life", not simply as the motto of our school, but as a life-long process of development.
